Bladerunners wrap up second straight title in Las Vegas
»3/1/09 The Dallas Bladerunners swept their
way through the 2009 Las Vegas Hockey Classic going 4-0. John Cardillo was
named tourney MVP. John Hendricks (G), Ross Jamieson, Kyle Jamieson and Kevin Labbe were named to the all tournament team.

Edd Baker
“The Dallas Stars, the National Hockey League, and the entire hockey
community have lost a much loved member of our family. Edd Baker, who served as
a video replay off-ice official at Stars games since the team came to Dallas,
passed away on Tuesday morning at the young age of 55. Edd loved the game of
hockey, as he was a player and referee in Dallas hockey leagues for several
decades. A devoted husband and father, Edd’s positive spirit was infectious to
all those around him. He will be greatly missed.”

CHAMPS!
The Plano B team wrapped up the finals Thursday
night with a 4-2 win over Grundle. Jason Bird led the way with two
goals, John Cardillo and Gren Lewis finished out the scoring. The
team was without Kevin Labbe who was placed on IR with an
undisclosed upper body injury (hamstring). 16-7-0

DEFENSE WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS!
The Bladerunners wrapped up their third straight title on
Thursday night with a 8-2 win over the Roughnecks. Kevin Labbe had a hat trick
in the win but the game winner came on a shot by Gren Lewis from center ice with
less then a second remaining in the second period. The Bladerunners finished the
season 22-1-0 Full Story.

CHAMPIONS! The Finals are in
the books and the Bladerunners are back on top with
another Championship. Game three was a great game between to very
evenly matched team but Chris Young was the difference in the win
stopping 27 of 29 shots faced which included a 5-3 power play for
Motive the last two minutes of the game. Full Story.
